Hey guys! Are you ready to sell beats but you aren't really sure which marketplace you should choose? Hopefully I can help you make that decision. As I have used both platforms I will explain my personal experience to help you choose the best website to sell your beats.
Ok, so you can sell beats on both right? Why would one be better than the other for selling beats? They're a ton of reasons. The first beat selling website I started on was Airbit (MyFlashstore). Although I was happy to have platform to sell my beats on Airbit (MyFlashstore) had a lot of short comings. After you sign up and create your beat store, you can upload your music and get started. Airbit (Myflashstore) has its own marketplace where you can sell beats too but they take a percentage of the sale. After you've created a beat store now you have to find a website designer to make a website and here's where things can get complicated because there isn's a lot of good help these day or you have to be very cautious about scammers. You can also make you're own website but some of us simply don't have the time. I myself got scammed by LUXEDOPE. They created me a website yes, but after that they were hard to reach. If I wanted a revision to my site they would take my money and not respond.
I got tired of doing this dance. This is when I stumbled upon BeatStars. BeatStars is better from the jump because they give you your own website already. If you want to create the site yourself or pay someone, you have both options. BeatStars also have a marketplace where you can sell beats and they don't take any percentage of your sales what so ever. And for the producer who has more services to offer than just selling beats BeatStars give you a place to offer them. You can even offer a membership program for frequent customers. And as time goes on it seems that BeatStars is always adding more tools to put the power in the hands of the producer as they have added a publishing program for artists. They're plenty of reasons why I like BeatStars more but mainly because they give you the tools to be success and your own boss. I've sold way more beats in a short period of time with BeatStars that I ever have with Airbit (MyFlashstore). To sum it up if I could have started on BeatStars from the jump I would've because it's been a very pleasant experience and I have sold more beats on the BeatStars platform. Airbit is coming along but beatstars seems to stay ahead of the game as the best beat selling website in my opinion.
